About the Glossary
This glossary mainly contains, but is not restricted to, German words, terms and abbreviations that a person researching the U-boot-waffe might come across. Currently there are over 730 entries in this glossary. Like the rest of this site it undergoes fairly constant revision, addition and improvement. If you have additions or corrections for the glossary please contact Howard for getting it included here.

There are two indexes for this glossary, above. The main index is in alphabetical order of German words or phrases that have been translated.
The abbreviations index is in alphabetical order of abbreviations that have a translation.
You can either navigate through the glossary using the index links, or you can click on one of the links and then go forward or backwards through pages by clicking on the
next or previous links at the bottom of the glossary pages.

I would like to thank Christine Hillmann for coming up with the idea of a glossary, and all the time she has taken from her busy life to work on it. Also Fernando Almeida has put in a lot of time assisting with the glossary project. Fernando is a major contributor to this site, and also has a very busy writing and research schedule. Ken Dunn has also helped with editing and refinements to several entries. Thanks once more Ken.
