Operations information for U-1020
14.11.1944 - 17.11.1944
First Sailing
U-1020 left Kiel under the command of Otto-Emil Eberlein on 14th Nov 1944 and arrived at Horten on 17th Nov 1944 after three days.
22.11.1944 - 03.01.1945
Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 22nd Nov 1944, U-1020 left Horten under the command of Otto-Emil Eberlein. The boat was sunk on 3rd Jan 1945.

Although Rohwer attributes damage to HMS Zephyr by U 1020 during this patrol, closer examination of positions for U 1020 do not match the location of the damage to Zephyr. It's thought that the damage was more likely caused by mining.
Many thanks to Pamela Armstrong, Ron Young and Axel Niestlé.
