First Sailing
U-119 left Kiel under the command of Alois Zech on 4th Aug 1942 and arrived at Frederikshavn on 5th Aug 1942 after one day.
07.08.1942 - 10.08.1942
Second Sailing
On the 7th Aug 1942, U-119 left Frederikshavn under the command of Alois Zech and after three days arrived at Kiel on 10th Aug 1942.
06.02.1943 - 01.04.1943
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-119 departed under Alois Zech from Kiel on 6th Feb 1943 and arrived at Bordeaux on 1st Apr 1943 after more than seven weeks.
25.04.1943 - 24.06.1943
Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-119 left Bordeaux under the command of Horst-Tessen von Kameke on 25th Apr 1943. The boat was declared missing after 24th Jun 1943.
At 1100 HRS on 29th Apr 1943 in square BF 71, U-119 came under attack from an aircraft of RAAF 10 Squadron. U-119 was not damaged by the attack. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft.
At 1124 HRS on 29th Apr 1943 in square BF 71, U-119 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 461 Squadron. U-119 was not damaged by the attack. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft.
At 1840 HRS on 23rd Jun 1943 in square BE 92, U-119 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 86 Squadron. U-119 was moderately damaged by the attack.

The 2,937 ton Panamanian Halma was sunk by a mine on 3rd Jun 1943.
The 7,176 ton American John A Poor was damaged by a mine on 28th Jul 1943.
