05.09.1944 - 10.09.1944 First Sailing U-1228 left Kiel under the command of Friedrich-Wilhelm Marienfeld on 5th Sep 1944 and arrived at Horten on 10th Sep 1944 after five days.
11.09.1944 - 15.09.1944 Second Sailing On the 11th Sep 1944, U-1228 left Horten under the command of Friedrich-Wilhelm Marienfeld and after four days arrived at Bergen on 15th Sep 1944.
17.09.1944 - 20.09.1944 Third Sailing U-1228 departed under Friedrich-Wilhelm Marienfeld from Bergen on 17th Sep 1944 and arrived back at Bergen on 20th Sep 1944 after three days.
12.10.1944 - 29.12.1944 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-1228 left Bergen under the command of Friedrich-Wilhelm Marienfeld on 12th Oct 1944 and after just over eleven weeks arrived at Stavanger on 29th Dec 1944.
