26.09.1944 - 30.09.1944 First Sailing U-1230 left Kiel under the command of Hans Hilbig on 26th Sep 1944 and arrived at Horten on 30th Sep 1944 after four days.
08.10.1944 - 13.02.1945 Second Sailing - active patrol On the 8th Oct 1944, U-1230 left Horten under the command of Hans Hilbig and after over eighteen weeks arrived at Kristiansand on 13th Feb 1945. Hans Hilbig hit one ship on this patrol. On 3rd Dec 1944 he sank the Canadian 5,458 ton Cornwallis.
20.02.1945 - 23.02.1945 Third Sailing U-1230 departed under Hans Hilbig from Kristiansand on 20th Feb 1945 and arrived at Flensburg on 23rd Feb 1945 after three days.
