U-140 left Kiel under the command of Hans-Peter Hinsch on 20th Nov 1940 and arrived at Bergen on 17th Dec 1940 after nearly four weeks.
Hans-Peter Hinsch hit three ships on this patrol, one was from convoy SC-13.-
On 2nd Dec 1940 he sank the British 4,739 ton Victoria City.
