| Operations information for U-195 | 20.03.1943 - 23.07.1943 First Sailing - active patrol
U-195 left Kiel under the command of Heinz Buchholz on 20th Mar 1943 and arrived at Bordeaux on 23rd Jul 1943 after nearly eighteen weeks.
Heinz Buchholz hit three ships on this patrol, one was from convoy UGS-7.-
On 11th Apr 1943 he sank the American 7,200 ton James W Denver, sailing with convoy UGS-7.

On 7th May 1943 he sank the American 7,191 ton Samuel Jordan Kirkwood.

On 12th May 1943 he damaged the American 6,797 ton Cape Neddick.
