First Sailing - active patrol
U-203 left Kiel under the command of Rolf Mützelburg on 5th Jun 1941 and arrived at St. Nazaire on 29th Jun 1941 after three and a half weeks.
Rolf Mützelburg hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy: One was from convoy HX-133 and one was from convoy OB-336.
  • On 24th Jun 1941 he sank the Norwegian 4,402 ton Soløy, sailing with convoy HX-133.
  • On 24th Jun 1941 he sank the British 4,956 ton Kinross, a member of convoy OB-336.

On the 10th Jul 1941, U-203 left St. Nazaire under the command of Rolf Mützelburg and returned to St. Nazaire on 31st Jul 1941 after three weeks on patrol.
Rolf Mützelburg hit three ships on this patrol and all of them were in convoy, all of them from convoy OG-69.
  • On 27th Jul 1941 he sank the British 2,475 ton Hawkinge, part of convoy OG-69.

U-203 departed under Rolf Mützelburg from Brest on 27th Aug 1942 and arrived back at Brest just over three weeks later on 18th Sep 1942.KL Mützelberg was killed in an accident during this patrol on the 11th September. His IWO, OL Hans Seidel took command of the boat afterwards.

Tenth Sailing - active patrol
U-203 left Brest under the command of Hermann Kottmann on 15th Oct 1942 and after just over three weeks arrived at Lorient on 6th Nov 1942.
Hermann Kottmann hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy, both of them were from convoy SL-125.
  • On 29th Oct 1942 he sank the British 5,178 ton Hopecastle, part of convoy SL-125.
  • On 30th Oct 1942 he sank the British 7,131 ton Corinaldo, from convoy SL-125.
06.12.1942 - 07.01.1943
Eleventh Sailing - active patrol
On the 6th Dec 1942, U-203 left Lorient under the command of Hermann Kottmann and arrived at Brest on 7th Jan 1943 after four and a half weeks.

Twelfth Sailing - active patrol
U-203 departed under Hermann Kottmann from Brest on 3rd Apr 1943. The boat was lost on 25th Apr 1943.
