08.08.1942 - 09.08.1942
First Sailing
U-211 left Kiel under the command of Karl Hause on 8th Aug 1942 and arrived at return on 9th Aug 1942 after one day.
18.08.1942 - 24.08.1942
Second Sailing
On the 18th Aug 1942, U-211 left Arendal under the command of Karl Hause and after six days arrived at return on 24th Aug 1942.
26.08.1942 - 07.10.1942
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-211 departed under Karl Hause from Bergen on 26th Aug 1942 and arrived at return on 7th Oct 1942 after six weeks.
Karl Hause hit three ships on this patrol, two of these ships were in convoy, both of them were from convoy ON-127.
  • On 12th Sep 1942 he damaged the British 6,849 ton Empire Moonbeam, sailing with convoy ON-127.
  • On 12th Sep 1942 he damaged the British 13,797 ton Hektoria, a member of convoy ON-127.
  • On 23rd Sep 1942 he sank the American 11,237 ton Esso Williamsburg.

Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-211 left Brest under the command of Karl Hause on 11th Nov 1942 and after nearly seven weeks arrived at return on 29th Dec 1942.
Karl Hause hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ON-153.
  • On 17th Dec 1942 he sank the British 1,350 ton HMS Firedrake, part of convoy ON-153.
13.02.1943 - 25.02.1943
Fifth Sailing - active patrol
On the 13th Feb 1943, U-211 left Brest under the command of Karl Hause and arrived at return on 25th Feb 1943 after more than one week.
On 20th Feb 1943 in square BE 16, U-211 came under attack from an aircraft of USAAF 1 Squadron. U-211 was heavily damaged in the attack.
10.05.1943 - 16.07.1943
Sixth Sailing - active patrol
U-211 departed under Karl Hause from Brest on 10th May 1943 and after nine and a half weeks arrived at return on 16th Jul 1943.
On 15th May 1943 in square BF 48, U-211 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 10 OTU Squadron.
23.09.1943 - 24.09.1943
Seventh Sailing
U-211 left Lorient under the command of Karl Hause on 23rd Sep 1943 and arrived at return on 24th Sep 1943 after one day.
11.10.1943 - 19.11.1943
Eighth Sailing
On the 11th Oct 1943, U-211 left Brest under the command of Karl Hause and after five and a half weeks arrived at return on 19th Nov 1943.
