09.06.1942 - 03.07.1942 First Sailing - active patrol U-215 left Kiel under the command of Fritz Hoeckner on 9th Jun 1942. The boat was sunk on 3rd Jul 1942. Fritz Hoeckner hit one ship on this patrol from convoy BX-27. On 3rd Jul 1942 he sank the American 7,191 ton Alexander Macomb, sailing with convoy BX-27.
