U-225 left Kiel under the command of Wolfgang Leimkühler on 5th Dec 1942 and arrived at return on 8th Jan 1943 after nearly five weeks.
Wolfgang Leimkühler hit five ships on this patrol and all of them were in convoy, all of them from convoy ONS-154.-
On 27th Dec 1942 he damaged the British 7,087 ton Scottish Heather, sailing with convoy ONS-154.

On 28th Dec 1942 he damaged the Belgian 4,919 ton President Francqui, a member of convoy ONS-154.

On 28th Dec 1942 he sank the British 5,273 ton Melmore Head, part of convoy ONS-154.

On 28th Dec 1942 he damaged the British 5,598 ton Ville de Rouen, from convoy ONS-154.

| 02.02.1943 - 15.02.1943 Second Sailing
On the 2nd Feb 1943, U-225 left Brest under the command of Wolfgang Leimkühler and after nearly two weeks arrived at return on 15th Feb 1943. On 15th Feb 1943 in square AK 53, U-225 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 120 Squadron. U-225 was destroyed in the attack.
