18.05.1944 - 20.05.1944 First Sailing U-247 left Kiel under the command of Gerhard Matschulat on 18th May 1944 and arrived at Arendal on 20th May 1944 after two days.
27.05.1944 - 28.05.1944 Second Sailing On the 27th May 1944, U-247 left Arendal under the command of Gerhard Matschulat and after one day arrived at Bergen on 28th May 1944.
31.05.1944 - 28.07.1944 Third Sailing - active patrol U-247 departed under Gerhard Matschulat from Bergen on 31st May 1944 and arrived at Brest on 28th Jul 1944 after over eight weeks. Gerhard Matschulat hit one ship on this patrol. On 5th Jul 1944 he sank the British 207 ton Noreen Mary.
26.08.1944 - 01.09.1944 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-247 left Brest under the command of Gerhard Matschulat on 26th Aug 1944. On the 1st Sep 1944, U-247 was sunk.
