On the 14th May 1944, U-344 left Flekkefjord under the command of Ulrich Pietsch and after one day arrived at Bergen on 15th May 1944.

Third Sailing - active patrol
U-344 departed under Ulrich Pietsch from Bergen on 20th May 1944 and arrived at Narvik on 27th May 1944 after one week.

U-344 left Narvik under the command of Ulrich Pietsch on 31st May 1944 and after five and a half weeks arrived at Bogenbucht on 8th Jul 1944.

On the 3rd Aug 1944, U-344 left Bogenbucht under the command of Ulrich Pietsch. U-344 was lost on 22nd Aug 1944.
