Operations information for U-548
21.03.1944 - 24.06.1944 First Sailing - active patrol U-548 left Kiel under the command of Eberhard Zimmermann on 21st Mar 1944 and arrived at Lorient on 24th Jun 1944 after thirteen and a half weeks. Eberhard Zimmermann hit one ship on this patrol from convoy ONM-234. On 7th May 1944 he sank the Canadian 1,445 ton HMCS Valleyfield, sailing with convoy ONM-234.
11.08.1944 - 25.09.1944 Second Sailing - active patrol On the 11th Aug 1944, U-548 left Lorient under the command of Günther Pfeffer and after six and a half weeks arrived at Bergen on 25th Sep 1944.
27.09.1944 - 28.09.1944 Third Sailing U-548 departed under Günther Pfeffer from Bergen on 27th Sep 1944 and arrived at Hölen on 28th Sep 1944 after one day.
07.10.1944 - 12.10.1944 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-548 left Hölen under the command of Günther Pfeffer on 7th Oct 1944 and after five days arrived at Flensburg on 12th Oct 1944.
24.02.1945 - 28.02.1945 Fifth Sailing On the 24th Feb 1945, U-548 left Kiel under the command of Erich Krempl and arrived at Horten on 28th Feb 1945 after four days.
05.03.1945 - 19.04.1945 Sixth Sailing - active patrol U-548 departed under Erich Krempl from Horten on 5th Mar 1945. The boat was lost on 19th Apr 1945.
