First Sailing - active patrol
U-608 left Kiel under the command of Rolf Struckmeier on 20th Aug 1942 and arrived at St. Nazaire on 24th Sep 1942 after five weeks.
Rolf Struckmeier hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy, both of them were from convoy ON-127.
  • On 12th Sep 1942 he sank the British 6,849 ton Empire Moonbeam, sailing with convoy ON-127.
  • On 12th Sep 1942 he sank the British 13,797 ton Hektoria, a member of convoy ON-127.

Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 20th Oct 1942, U-608 left St. Nazaire under the command of Rolf Struckmeier and returned to St. Nazaire on 9th Dec 1942 after just over seven weeks on patrol.
Rolf Struckmeier hit one ship on this patrol.
  • On 16th Nov 1942 he sank the Irish 5,621 ton Irish Pine.

20.01.1943 - 29.03.1943
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-608 departed under Rolf Struckmeier from St. Nazaire on 20th Jan 1943 and arrived at Bordeaux on 29th Mar 1943 after more than nine weeks.
At 2030 HRS on 6th Feb 1943 in square AK 68, U-608 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-608 was not damaged by the attack.
At 1800 HRS on 7th Feb 1943 in square AK 45, U-608 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-608 was not damaged by the attack.
At 2008 HRS on 17th Mar 1943 in square AK 89, U-608 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 120 Squadron. U-608 was not damaged by the attack.
Rolf Struckmeier hit one ship on this patrol from convoy SC-118.
  • On 8th Feb 1943 he sank the Norwegian 9,272 ton Daghild, part of convoy SC-118.

U-608 left Bordeaux under the command of Rolf Struckmeier on 8th May 1943 and after just over ten weeks arrived at St. Nazaire on 18th Jul 1943.
At 1003 HRS on 17th May 1943 in square BF 48, U-608 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 10 OTU Squadron.
23.09.1943 - 25.09.1943
Fifth Sailing - active patrol
On the 23rd Sep 1943, U-608 left St. Nazaire under the command of Rolf Struckmeier and arrived back at St. Nazaire two days later on 25th Sep 1943.
02.10.1943 - 28.11.1943

U-608 departed under Rolf Struckmeier from St. Nazaire on 2nd Oct 1943 and returned to St. Nazaire on 28th Nov 1943 after just over eight weeks on patrol.

U-608 left St. Nazaire under the command of Wolfgang Reisener on 29th Jan 1944 and arrived back at St. Nazaire on 3rd Apr 1944 after over nine weeks on patrol.

On the 6th Jun 1944, U-608 left St. Nazaire under the command of Wolfgang Reisener and after just over one week arrived at Lorient on 14th Jun 1944.
22.07.1944 - 23.07.1944
Ninth Sailing - active patrol
U-608 departed under Wolfgang Reisener from Lorient on 22nd Jul 1944 and arrived back at Lorient one day later on 23rd Jul 1944.
07.08.1944 - 10.08.1944
Tenth Sailing - active patrol
U-608 left Lorient under the command of Wolfgang Reisener on 7th Aug 1944. The boat was lost on 10th Aug 1944.
