Second Sailing
On the 7th Aug 1944, U-772 left Horten under the command of Ewald Rademacher and after four days arrived at Trondheim on 11th Aug 1944.
13.08.1944 - 06.10.1944
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-772 departed under Ewald Rademacher from Trondheim on 13th Aug 1944 and arrived back at Trondheim on 6th Oct 1944 after more than seven weeks on patrol.
19.11.1944 - 30.12.1944
Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-772 left Trondheim under the command of Ewald Rademacher on 19th Nov 1944. On the 30th Dec 1944, U-772 was sunk.
Ewald Rademacher hit five ships on this patrol, four of these ships were in convoy: One was from convoy MKS-71, two were from convoy TBC-21 and one was from convoy WEC-14.
  • On 23rd Dec 1944 he sank the British 1,536 ton Slemish, sailing with convoy WEC-14.
  • On 23rd Dec 1944 he sank the British 5,149 ton Dumfries, a member of convoy MKS-71.
  • On 28th Dec 1944 he sank the British 7,177 ton HMS Empire Javelin.
  • On 29th Dec 1944 he fatally damaged the American 7,176 ton Arthur Sewall, part of convoy TBC-21.
  • On 29th Dec 1944 he fatally damaged the American 7,191 ton Black Hawk, from convoy TBC-21.
