29.01.1944 - 02.05.1944 First Sailing - active patrol U-802 left Kiel under the command of Helmut Schmoeckel on 29th Jan 1944 and arrived at Lorient on 2nd May 1944 after thirteen and a half weeks. Helmut Schmoeckel hit one ship on this patrol from convoy SH-125. On 22nd Mar 1944 he sank the Canadian 1,621 ton Watuka, sailing with convoy SH-125.
22.06.1944 - 09.07.1944 Second Sailing - active patrol On the 22nd Jun 1944, U-802 left Lorient under the command of Helmut Schmoeckel and returned to Lorient on 9th Jul 1944 after two and a half weeks on patrol.
16.07.1944 - 12.11.1944 Third Sailing - active patrol U-802 departed under Helmut Schmoeckel from Lorient on 16th Jul 1944 and arrived at Bergen on 12th Nov 1944 after seventeen weeks.
13.11.1944 - 20.11.1944 Fourth Sailing U-802 left Bergen under the command of Helmut Schmoeckel on 13th Nov 1944 and after one week arrived at Horten on 20th Nov 1944.
