On the 8th Apr 1944, U-859 left Marviken under the command of Johann Jebsen. U-859 was lost on 23rd Sep 1944.
Johann Jebsen hit three ships on this patrol, one was from convoy SC-157.-
On 26th Apr 1944 he sank the Panamanian 6,255 ton Colin, sailing with convoy SC-157.

On 28th Aug 1944 he sank the American 7,176 ton John Barry.

On 1st Sep 1944 he sank the British 7,422 ton Troilus.
