On the 10th Nov 1944, U-870 left Horten under the command of Ernst Hechler and after fourteen and a half weeks arrived at Kristiansand on 20th Feb 1945.
Ernst Hechler hit five ships on this patrol, three of these ships were in convoy: One was from convoy GC-107, one was from convoy GUS-63 and one was from convoy KMS-76.
