| Operations information for U-91 | 15.08.1942 - 06.10.1942 First Sailing - active patrol
U-91 left Kiel under the command of Heinz Walkerling on 15th Aug 1942 and arrived at Brest on 6th Oct 1942 after seven and a half weeks.
Heinz Walkerling hit two ships on this patrol and both of them were in convoy: One was from convoy ON-127 and one was from convoy RB-1.

On 14th Sep 1942 he sank the Canadian 1,375 ton HMCS Ottawa, sailing with convoy ON-127.

On 26th Sep 1942 he sank the British 4,989 ton New York, a member of convoy RB-1.

| 01.11.1942 - 26.12.1942 Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 1st Nov 1942, U-91 left Brest under the command of Heinz Walkerling and returned to Brest on 26th Dec 1942 after nearly eight weeks on patrol.
| 11.02.1943 - 29.03.1943 Third Sailing - active patrol
U-91 departed under Heinz Walkerling from Brest on 11th Feb 1943 and arrived at Lorient on 29th Mar 1943 after six and a half weeks. On 14th Mar 1943 in square BC 24, U-91 came under attack from an aircraft of RCAF 5 Squadron. U-91 was moderately damaged by the attack. On 27th Mar 1943 in square BF 48, U-91 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 172 Squadron. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft.
Heinz Walkerling hit three ships on this patrol and all of them were in convoy, all of them from convoy HX-229.-
On 17th Mar 1943 he sank the American 6,125 ton Irénée Du Pont, part of convoy HX-229.

On 17th Mar 1943 he sank the American 6,366 ton Harry Luckenbach, from convoy HX-229.

On 17th Mar 1943 he sank the British 8,714 ton Nariva, sailing with convoy HX-229.
| 29.04.1943 - 07.06.1943 Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-91 left Lorient under the command of Heinz Hungershausen on 29th Apr 1943 and after five and a half weeks arrived at Brest on 7th Jun 1943. At 0900 HRS on 23rd May 1943 in square AK 94, U-91 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 86 Squadron. The boat defended itself with flak without destroying the aircraft. On 5th Jun 1943 in square BF 46, U-91 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft.
| 21.09.1943 - 22.11.1943 Fifth Sailing - active patrol
On the 21st Sep 1943, U-91 left Brest under the command of Heinz Hungershausen and arrived back at Brest nearly nine weeks later on 22nd Nov 1943.
| 25.01.1944 - 25.02.1944 Sixth Sailing - active patrol
U-91 departed under Heinz Hungershausen from Brest on 25th Jan 1944. U-91 was sunk on 25th Feb 1944.
