Notes
Jacyra was stopped by gun-fire by U-507 (Harro Schacht) at 01.30h (local time) on August 19, 1942 and sunk by four explosive-charges at 04h (local time) after the crew had been forced to abandon the vessel in a small life-boat; position 14.30S - 38.40W (Grid FQ 1396).

The survivors - Norberto Hilário dos Santos, Adaucto Alves das Neves, Raimundo Borges, Antenor ?, Acelino Bispo de Jesus & Vitalino Olegário dos Santos - reached the coast at Serra Grande beach, about 15 km south of Itacaré, BA
