First Sailing - active patrol
U-105 left Kiel under the command of Georg Schewe on 24th Dec 1940 and arrived at Lorient on 31st Jan 1941 after five and a half weeks.
Georg Schewe hit two ships on this patrol, one was from convoy SL-61.
  • On 9th Jan 1941 he sank the British 4,843 ton Bassano.
  • On 26th Jan 1941 he sank the British 3,564 ton Lurigethan, sailing with convoy SL-61.
22.02.1941 - 13.06.1941
Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 22nd Feb 1941, U-105 left Lorient under the command of Georg Schewe and returned to Lorient on 13th Jun 1941 after nearly sixteen weeks on patrol.
Georg Schewe hit twelve ships on this patrol, seven of these ships were in convoy: One was from convoy OB-312, one was from convoy OB-314, one was from convoy SL-67 and four were from convoy SL-68.
  • On 8th Mar 1941 he sank the British 5,229 ton Harmodius, a member of convoy SL-67.

  • On 5th Apr 1941 he sank the British 5,200 ton Ena de Larrinaga.
  • On 6th May 1941 he sank the British 4,255 ton Oakdene.
  • On 13th May 1941 he sank the British 6,434 ton Benvrackie, part of convoy OB-312.
  • On 15th May 1941 he sank the British 5,920 ton Benvenue, from convoy OB-314.
  • On 16th May 1941 he sank the British 11,803 ton Rodney Star.
  • On 1st Jun 1941 he sank the British 4,719 ton Scottish Monarch.

U-105 departed under Georg Schewe from Lorient on 3rd Aug 1941 and arrived back at Lorient on 20th Sep 1941 after nearly seven weeks on patrol.
Georg Schewe hit one ship on this patrol.
  • On 11th Sep 1941 he sank the Panamanian 1,549 ton Montana.
08.11.1941 - 13.12.1941

U-105 left Lorient under the command of Georg Schewe on 8th Nov 1941 and returned five weeks later to Lorient on 13th Dec 1941.

On the 25th Jan 1942, U-105 left Lorient under the command of Heinrich Schuch and arrived back at Lorient two weeks later on 8th Feb 1942.
Heinrich Schuch hit one ship on this patrol from convoy SL-98.
  • On 31st Jan 1942 he sank the British 1,546 ton HMS Culver, sailing with convoy SL-98.
25.02.1942 - 15.04.1942
Sixth Sailing - active patrol
U-105 departed under Heinrich Schuch from Lorient on 25th Feb 1942 and returned to Lorient on 15th Apr 1942 after seven weeks on patrol.

On the 28th Jun 1942, U-105 left El Ferrol under the command of Heinrich Schuch and after two days arrived at Lorient on 30th Jun 1942.

Ninth Sailing - active patrol
U-105 departed under Jürgen Nissen from Lorient on 23rd Nov 1942 and arrived back at Lorient nearly twelve weeks later on 14th Feb 1943.

On 2nd Jun 1943 in square EK 46, U-105 came under attack from an aircraft of RAF 141 Squadron. U-105 was destroyed in the attack.

  • On 15th May 1943 he sank the Greek 4,669 ton Maroussio Logothetis.
