04.11.1939 - 21.11.1939 First Sailing - active patrol U-60 left Kiel under the command of Georg Schewe on 4th Nov 1939 and arrived back at Kiel two and a half weeks later on 21st Nov 1939.
04.12.1939 - 04.12.1939 Second Sailing On the 4th Dec 1939, U-60 left Kiel under the command of Georg Schewe and arrived at Wilhelmshaven on the same day.
12.12.1939 - 19.12.1939 Third Sailing - active patrol U-60 departed under Georg Schewe from Wilhelmshaven on 12th Dec 1939 and arrived at Kiel on 19th Dec 1939 after one week. U-60 laid mines on this patrol. These mines were hit by 1 ship. The 4,373 ton British City of Kobe was sunk by a mine on 19th Dec 1939.
09.01.1940 - 21.01.1940 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-60 left Kiel under the command of Georg Schewe on 9th Jan 1940 and after more than one week arrived at Wilhelmshaven on 21st Jan 1940.
14.02.1940 - 29.02.1940 Fifth Sailing - active patrol On the 14th Feb 1940, U-60 left Wilhelmshaven under the command of Georg Schewe and arrived back at Wilhelmshaven just over two weeks later on 29th Feb 1940.
04.04.1940 - 27.04.1940 Sixth Sailing - active patrol U-60 departed under Georg Schewe from Wilhelmshaven on 4th Apr 1940 and after over three weeks arrived at Kiel on 27th Apr 1940.
18.05.1940 - 11.06.1940 Seventh Sailing - active patrol U-60 left Kiel under the command of Georg Schewe on 18th May 1940 and arrived back at Kiel on 11th Jun 1940 after three and a half weeks on patrol.
30.07.1940 - 18.08.1940 Eighth Sailing - active patrol On the 30th Jul 1940, U-60 left Kiel under the command of Adalbert Schnee and after more than two weeks arrived at Lorient on 18th Aug 1940. Adalbert Schnee hit one ship on this patrol from convoy HX-62. On 13th Aug 1940 he sank the Swedish 1,787 ton Nils Gorthon, sailing with convoy HX-62.
21.08.1940 - 06.09.1940 Ninth Sailing - active patrol U-60 departed under Adalbert Schnee from Lorient on 21st Aug 1940 and arrived back at Lorient over two weeks later on 6th Sep 1940. Adalbert Schnee hit two ships on this patrol, one was from convoy OB-205. On 31st Aug 1940 he damaged the Dutch 15,434 ton Volendam, a member of convoy OB-205. On 3rd Sep 1940 he sank the British 1,401 ton Ulva.
16.09.1940 - 02.10.1940 Tenth Sailing U-60 left Lorient under the command of Adalbert Schnee on 16th Sep 1940 and after over two weeks arrived at Bergen on 2nd Oct 1940.
05.10.1940 - 08.10.1940 Eleventh Sailing - active patrol On the 5th Oct 1940, U-60 left Bergen under the command of Adalbert Schnee and arrived at Kiel on 8th Oct 1940 after three days.
