U-507 left Hamburg under the command of Harro Schacht on 7th Mar 1942 and arrived at Helgoland on 8th Mar 1942 after one day.

Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 12th Mar 1942, U-507 left Helgoland under the command of Harro Schacht and after nearly two weeks arrived at Lorient on 25th Mar 1942.
04.04.1942 - 04.06.1942
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-507 departed under Harro Schacht from Lorient on 4th Apr 1942 and arrived back at Lorient on 4th Jun 1942 after more than eight weeks on patrol.
Harro Schacht hit ten ships on this patrol.
  • On 30th Apr 1942 he sank the American 2,881 ton Federal.
  • On 4th May 1942 he sank the American 2,686 ton Norlindo.
  • On 5th May 1942 he sank the American 5,104 ton Munger T Ball.
  • On 5th May 1942 he sank the American 6,950 ton Joseph M Cudahy.
  • On 6th May 1942 he sank the American 6,759 ton Alcoa Puritan.
  • On 7th May 1942 he sank the 3,099 ton Ontario.
  • On 8th May 1942 he sank the Norwegian 2,424 ton Torny.
  • On 12th May 1942 he sank the American 10,731 ton Virginia.
  • On 13th May 1942 he damaged the American 6,561 ton Gulfprince.

Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-507 left Lorient under the command of Harro Schacht on 4th Jul 1942 and returned over fourteen weeks later to Lorient on 12th Oct 1942.
Harro Schacht hit seven ships on this patrol, one was from convoy OS-36.
  • On 16th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 1,905 ton Annibal Benévolo.
  • On 16th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 4,801 ton Baependy.
  • On 16th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 4,872 ton Araraquara.
  • On 17th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 1,075 ton Arará.
  • On 17th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 2,169 ton Itagiba.
  • On 19th Aug 1942 he sank the Brazilian 90 ton Jacyra.
  • On 22nd Aug 1942 he sank the Swedish 3,220 ton Hammaren, sailing with convoy OS-36.

On the 24th Nov 1942, U-507 left Lorient under the command of Harro Schacht and arrived back at Lorient two days later on 26th Nov 1942.
28.11.1942 - 13.01.1943
Sixth Sailing - active patrol
U-507 departed under Harro Schacht from Lorient on 28th Nov 1942. On the 13th Jan 1943, U-507 was sunk.
On 13th Jan 1943 in square FB 55, U-507 came under attack from an aircraft of USN VP-83 Squadron. U-507 was destroyed in the attack.
Harro Schacht hit three ships on this patrol.
  • On 27th Dec 1942 he sank the British 5,154 ton Oakbank.
  • On 3rd Jan 1943 he sank the British 3,675 ton Baron Dechmont.
