On the 30th Apr 1944, U-547 left Lorient under the command of Heinrich Niemeyer and after more than fourteen weeks arrived at Bordeaux on 11th Aug 1944.
Heinrich Niemeyer hit three ships on this patrol.-
On 14th Jun 1944 he sank the British 750 ton HMS Birdlip.
