First Sailing - active patrol
U-602 left Kiel under the command of Philipp Schüler on 26th Sep 1942 and arrived at Lorient on 6th Nov 1942 after nearly six weeks.
01.12.1942 - 21.12.1942
Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 1st Dec 1942, U-602 left Lorient under the command of Philipp Schüler and after nearly three weeks arrived at La Spezia on 21st Dec 1942.
Philipp Schüler hit one ship on this patrol.
  • On 9th Dec 1942 he fatally damaged the British 1,540 ton HMS Porcupine.
06.02.1943 - 09.03.1943
Third Sailing - active patrol
U-602 departed under Philipp Schüler from La Spezia on 6th Feb 1943 and arrived at Toulon on 9th Mar 1943 after four and a half weeks.
On 9th Feb 1943 in square CH 58, U-602 came under attack from an unidentified aircraft. U-602 was not damaged by the attack.
06.04.1943 - 19.04.1943
Fourth Sailing - active patrol
U-602 left Toulon under the command of Philipp Schüler on 6th Apr 1943. On the 19th Apr 1943, U-602 was sunk.
