13.02.1940 - 06.03.1940 First Sailing - active patrol U-62 left Helgoland under the command of Hans-Bernhard Michalowski on 13th Feb 1940 and arrived at Wilhelmshaven on 6th Mar 1940 after just over three weeks.
04.04.1940 - 25.04.1940 Second Sailing - active patrol On the 4th Apr 1940, U-62 left Wilhelmshaven under the command of Hans-Bernhard Michalowski and after three weeks arrived at Kiel on 25th Apr 1940.
18.05.1940 - 03.06.1940 Third Sailing - active patrol U-62 departed under Hans-Bernhard Michalowski from Kiel on 18th May 1940 and arrived at Wilhelmshaven on 3rd Jun 1940 after over two weeks. Hans-Bernhard Michalowski hit one ship on this patrol. On 29th May 1940 he sank the British 1,350 ton HMS Grafton.
13.06.1940 - 05.07.1940 Fourth Sailing - active patrol U-62 left Wilhelmshaven under the command of Hans-Bernhard Michalowski on 13th Jun 1940 and after just over three weeks arrived at Bergen on 5th Jul 1940.
10.07.1940 - 02.08.1940 Fifth Sailing - active patrol On the 10th Jul 1940, U-62 left Bergen under the command of Hans-Bernhard Michalowski and arrived at Kiel on 2nd Aug 1940 after over three weeks. Hans-Bernhard Michalowski hit one ship on this patrol. On 19th Jul 1940 he sank the British 4,581 ton Pearlmoor.
