30.08.1939 - 13.09.1939
First Sailing - active patrol
U-6 left Kiel under the command of Joachim Matz on 30th Aug 1939 for operations in the Baltic Sea and arrived at return on 13th Sep 1939 after two weeks.
04.04.1940 - 19.04.1940
Second Sailing - active patrol
On the 4th Apr 1940, U-6 left Kiel under the command of Adalbert Schnee for operations SW of Norway and after just over two weeks arrived at return on 19th Apr 1940.

Notes for U-6
U-6 was decommissioned 7th August 1944 at Gotenhafen. During 1945 it was used for spare parts before being captured by Soviet forces on 29th March 1945.
