History - Built 1918 - Sir Raylton Dixon & Co Ltd, Middlesbrough. Completed as the British steam tanker War Spartan for Anglo American Oil Co in October 1918 - 1919 converted to steam merchant and renamed Taxandrier for Lloyd Royal Belge (Great Britain), London - 1923 sold to Belgium, Lloyd Royal Belge SA, Antwerp - 1927 sold to Britain and renamed Kinross� for Sutherland Steam Ship Co, Newcastle - 1934 sold to Greece and renamed Carras.
Because of U-666's damaging attack earlier the ship laid dead in the water.� U-333 sank her with a finishing shot fired at 21:28 CET.
