Notes for U-19
Kostanza was evacuated on 25th August 1944. Turkey turned down the offer of sale of U-19, which was subsequently scuttled off Erekli, Turkey on 10th September 1944. OL Hubert Verpoorten was interned with 3 of his crew the same day.
